The second day of the Diamex Master Groomer competition will begin on Sunday 25 April 2027 at 9:00<\/strong> (pre-judging at 8:00). Whether you\u2019re a rising star or a seasoned expert, come and showcase your skills at this exceptional competition.<\/p>\n

Spaniel & Setter<\/h3>\n

Are you a specialist in hunting dogs? Showcase your Spaniel or Setter\u2019s natural elegance, beautiful feathering and athletic build in this technical trial.<\/p>\n

All Spaniels and Setters:<\/strong><\/em> 2:30<\/span><\/p>\n

Rules:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Stripping knives are allowed.
\nDog needs to be groomed according to the breed standard.
\nColored Chalk powder\/block\/spray and cream is allowed.
\nIt is not allowed to use clippers except:
\n\u2022 Cocker Spaniels and Setters:<\/span>Chest and ears<\/span><\/p>\n

Student Class<\/h3>\n

Are you currently training to become a dog groomer? Come and take your first steps in competition and showcase the skills you\u2019ve learnt during your training in this category, which is entirely dedicated to you.<\/p>\n

The Student Class is intended for groomers who are still in training. It allows them to gradually discover the world of competitions and put into practice the knowledge and techniques acquired during their training, in a supportive and encouraging environment.
\nThis category places emphasis on learning, progress, and gaining experience, rather than on ranking. \nIt offers students the opportunity to gain confidence, perfect their practical work, and receive constructive advice.
\nThe competitor must participate with a purebred dog, adhering to the breed standard and applying the appropriate techniques.
\nFor the applicable techniques and rules,\nplease refer to the \u201cGeneral Grooming\nRules\u201d section of the category correspon\nding to the breed of the dog presented (in the competition rules).<\/p>\n

Workshop (Sales)<\/h3>\n

Designed for those with a passion for coarse hair, this competition will showcase your technique and precision when it comes to hair removal.<\/p>\n

This category is dedicated to commercial grooming as it is practiced daily in salons.
\nPlease do not confuse commercial grooming with Asian style that, on the other hand, is a creative and artistic approach characterized by original shapes, carefully sculpted volume and a more fanciful interpretation.
\nCompetitors may enter with either a purebred or a mixed-breed dog. However, a purebred dog may not be groomed according to its own breed standard. The competitor may instead create a trim based on the standard of another breed, such as a Bichon-style trim on a Poodle.
\nBreeds frequently in this category:<\/span> Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, Cocker Spaniel, Poodle, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n
